What's this ?

A launcher application for Fossil/Abacus Wrist PDA with Palm OS.

Features

* launch app by hard key press (5, on the right side)
* You can run HalLaunch by holding key press
* Auto run HalLaunch at wakeup from watch mode
* multiple command pages
* 3 special functions (immidiate watch mode and so on)

Under any situation (another app is running or in watch mode), you can launch app by pressing hard-key twice.

Install / Uninstall

Install 'HalLaunch_E.prc' on your device as usual way.

Before uninstall, you must disable options "Auto Run On Wakeup" and "Run by Key Hold".


HOW TO USE

On HalLaunch, 5 keys (PageUp etc) on the right side are used not for moving items, but for launching app . This allows quick app launch.


On this example, push 'PageUp', then 'FileZ' is launched.

turn down 'Rocker key'. then go to watch mode.


How to run HalLaunch

Tap left top 'Config' button to open the setting dialog.



¡ÈAuto Run On Wakeup¡É If this is 'ON', the HalLaunch automatically starts when the device wakes up from watch mode.

¡ÈRun By Key Hold¡É If this is 'ON', you can start HalLaunch by holding a key, even if another app is running. (Soft reset is required to be enable/disable this option)


Edit app assignment on keys

Tap 'Edit Key' button on main screen to open edit dialog.

As an exanple, showing steps to assign 'HalWatch' on 'Rockerup' key.

step 1) on category select buttons, tap 'appl',
step 2) then, app list appears on the functions list, select 'HalWatch'
step 3) finally tap the button corresponding to 'RockerUp'
Then, 'HalWatch' is assigned to 'RockerUp'


How to use multiple pages

To change the number of total pages

Tap 'Edit Key' button on main screen to open edit dialog. And, tap page indicator button at the top of the screen.

Then, number of pages edit dialog opens, adjust the number and tap 'OK'.

Tap triangle buttons beside the page indicator button.

You can go to next page and go to previous page by tapping buttons.

But, I don't recommend this way. Because the idea of HalLaunch is 'launching app by hard key press only'.

If 'Run By Key Hold' option is enabled, you can switch the current page by holding key press. I recommend this way.

That is, when you start to hold the key on the another app, HalLaunch comes up, and after a while, changing page starts. When the desired app appears on the page, you release key hold and press the key coressponding to the app.
On this way, you press keys only twice, then next app is launched.
